Sail it, Nail it, Hail it and Scale it

Reading through these excellent ideas is really inspiring but it does make me wonder why all this hard work occurs in small pockets and silos and often is only noticed, shared or accessible to a limited number of providers. This links very closely to the post that Helen Bevan posted

Why cannot we, as a NHS have a robust system where we can develop ideas centrally and have better co-ordination, collaboration, development and deployment of  nationally applicable improvement ideas. This forum is a great start but there are so many avenues, nooks and crannies that are sometimes hidden away that work is duplicated and efficiency is reduced.

I know that I am being very Utopian here but this is a great opportunity to develop something small that works and can be shared.

Sail It - pose the problem in (an) accessible forum(s) (such as this one!) for ALL stakeholders to contribute. 

Nail it - form a collaborative, workable, and cost effective solution that is approved by all stakeholders nationally.

Hail it - shout from the rooftops and whisper like the wind so that the solution reaches all parts of health and social care.

Scale it - Facilitate a toolkit / template for ALL providers to be able to scale the solution for their organisation, population and allow for local variances in the provision needed.

We have the ability, skill, enthusiasm, personnel and conduits to make this happen in the NHS.
