Telemedicine

Telemedicine usage increased rapidly because of covid. It offers opportunities for patients who may face obstacles to accessing services for eg, those who have difficulty taking time off work, finding childcare, older people who lack  transport and those with disabilities. We need to ensure that patients have the skills to participate in telemedicine if they so choose for eg, partnering with community based organisations to offer education and relevant materials.

Thanks so much for sharing John. I completely agree, the increase in telemedicine has been so helpful to so many patients & clinicians (& very good for the environment!). Great ideas about how to support upskilling patients too, I wonder whether anyone has trialled these so far?
