Making the most of our theatre sessions

The leading edge of theatre productivity appears to be at least 8 primary joint replacements per theatre day.  If we could achieve this the impact would be enormous.  It would be great to hear from teams that are already doing this how they make it work and to share this with teams who would like to give it a go.

Hi Stephen
Sorry for the slow response. It was initially a personal analogy based on experience in a day surgery unit. McLaren also did some work with Great Ormond Street a few years ago. When the whole team take responsibility for transitions between cases in parallel rather than in series the time savings are large.
