Ask for Best Hopes

We see children and young people as early as possible following a request for support and engage them in s solution focused triage conversation.  We ask them for thier best hopes, identify  and celebrate strengths and make sure any follow up is identified through process of shared decision making.  Sometimes we find just this single intervention is sufficient for families to manage more confidently.

Thanks Gill this sounds like a really effective approach. Are children, young people and families able to self-refer to your service?

Gill North Oct 11, 2023

Yes Helen...not from the whole of Surrey but if they live in the areas served by our community teams then yes.
